Mary Axthelm - 'R' Recreation Program Director

Mary has been providing the community with a variety of recreational services through the ‘R’ Recreation since its conception in 2008.  Mary received her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Management from the University of Wyoming and has worked in a variety of capacities for several community parks and recreation departments prior to making Riverton her home.  Serving the community of Riverton and the challenge to create quality programming has been her passion and goal with ‘R’ Recreation. She strives to work cooperatively with local schools, various local organizations and clubs, Central Wyoming College and the city of Riverton.

Mary and her husband Mike, who is a Riverton native, have lived in Riverton for twenty one years. 

Ady Thomas

Ady has been working for R Recreation since 2021, and has loved bringing new ideas to the community. Ady graduated from the University of Wyoming in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a minor in Management. She loves all the unique ways she gets to work with the community through R Recreation, the school district, CWC and other organizations! Ady is from Big Piney, WY and made the move to Riverton in 2021 with her husband, Skylar Thomas.
